Saturday report
Despite the best efforts of Mother nature to try and delay the 3rd round of the club championship and June monthly medal - with the electricity being cut to the clubhouse all day due to a fallen tree - 38 players were able to get round before it got too dark.
Congratulations to Jim Hynes who retained the Club Championship after beating Alex Fraser on the 2nd playoff hole.
Overall handicap winner was Isaac Golden.
Congratulations also to the following Club Championship winners.
B Grade scratch; John Andrew
C Grade Scratch: Isaac Golden
A Grade Handicap: Mick Doyle
B Grade Handicap: Sean Smyth.
Moving onto the SGA Agribusiness June Monthly medal.
Given the damp conditions only 3 players were able to equal their handicap or better.
Overall winner and A grade winner was Jarrod Plowman with a nett 64. Jarrod also had the lowest Gross score for the day with a 72.
Honourable mentions to Tony Littman and John Andrews with nett 66 and 67 respectively.
B Grade winner was Matthew Salter with a nett 71 which was the same score that C Grade winner - James Semmens - also had.
In the putting competition, Mick Doyle put on a display, with only 24 putts.
This Saturday is a 3 person Gentsome (3 drives each, play your own ball on the par 3's).
As it's unclear at present who the tee master will be on the day, can each team please ensure they mark their score on the sheet at the end of the day and to also ensure that they pay their comp fees before they start their rounds. This will help whoever is the tee master.
