Par Bisque

The 7:30 report-Wednesday 23rd June

A baker's dozen this damp, windy morning for our bi-monthly Par Bisque competition. Some notable absentees in Mark Burrage, who arrived but was concerned that his hair style might be affected by the damp air, so headed home; we were reliably informed that Nifty was half way through crocheting a blanket thus explaining his 'no show'.An angry Tiger Penney was runner up on countback with +3, blaming his ridiculous handicap of 38 (reduced from 44!!) and his playing partners for his lack of ultimate success at the hands of Kevin Taylor (20).Other scores:Peter Watson (21) +2Mike Hoiles (14), Walrus (10) and Oils Flannery (16) +1Joggers Andrew (11) EvenKarl Pongracic (29) and Graeme Bonsack (19) -1Ian Gill (13) -2Gary Liddy (19) -3Leaving the dishes for the low handicapper, Peter Sinclair (7) -5

Thanks to Gags for the fire lighting, the food and the bins retrieval, Mike Hoiles for organising the groups and Pierre Watson for collecting the cash and cards.

Birdies: Believe it or not Bubba Watson 10th (1 ball), Joggers on the 2nd, Kevin Taylor on the 4th, Walrus on the 7th after driving the green and lipping out the eagle putt-robbed.

NTP 1st/10th Peter Watson with his chip in birdie.

Next Wednesday is a stableford event-not a team event as fixtured.

This Saturday is the final round of the Club Championships and SGA Agribusiness June Monthly Medal.
