The 7:30 report Wednesday 30th June.
19 players this morning for a stableford competition. We were clearly the 'Men for All Seasons' as we set off in blustery wind, followed by the odd glimpse of the sun, before intermittent showers swept down from the mount on several occasions. With such flukey weather conditions, the pins in tough locations from Saturday's final round of the club championships and the ground underfoot still quite heavy, it was surprising that even one player was able to play to his handicap.
Well done to Mike Hoiles (14) A grade winner with 36 points from runner up Isaac Golden (16) fresh from his C grade club champs and overall handicap victory-31 points on countback from Ian Gill.
B grade winner was Rob Devereux (20) on countback from Jeremy Clare (20) both gents returning 30 points
Other scores:
Mike Gorman (20) and John Andrew (11) 29 points
Gary Liddy (19), Peter Sinclair (7), Tony Carter (12) and Marcus Ward (10) 27 points
Peter Watson (21) 26 points
Levi Moss (19) 25 Points
John Dawson (14) 23 points and a newish car following his introduction to the massive pine on Saturday morning.
Terry Penney (38) 22 points
Ian Flannery (16) 21 points
Graeme Bonsack (19) and Karl Pongracic (29) 20 points
Leaving the dishes for Kevin Taylor (20) with 19 points and more wipe outs than you'd see at Bells Beach!
Birdies for Ian Gill and Kevin Taylor on the 1st, Walrus on 11th.
NTPs second shot: 2/11 Walrus, 7/16 Levi Moss
Ball comp: Mike Hoiles 36 points.
Next Wednesday is the Kudu Constructions July Mug o' the Month.
Saturday is a 3 person gentsomes-contact Captain Richard Payne if you are chasing a team or to book a tee time.
