With a change to the mid week competition day far fewer members were available for the par competition this week. Thank you to the nine who braved a chilly morning to kick the dew off the grass. Just one player was able to break handicap, Burra's +1 was the winner from Ian Gill on -1. Ian also grabbed the NTP on the 8th/17th from Peter Watson.
The battle for the dishes was a three way contest between Henri, Bryce Singh and the Walrus with Bryce stumbling over the line on countback with a -9. Unfortunately Bryce was unable to complete his kitchen duty as he had to leave immediately after the round....... not sure if he had a commitment or was too ashamed to face the clubhouse scrutiny.
Congratulations to our Pennant Handicap team which defeated Hidden Valley 4-3 and have done a 'Steven Bradbury' and come from the clouds to make the final against Woodend GC next Sunday-well done gents and good luck this coming weekend.
This Saturday is the final round of the Club Championships and combines with the May Monthly Medal, while next Wednesday will be our regular team's event. Reminder to be assembled by 7:15 for the random team draw to ensure a 7:30 hit off.
Finally tomorrow is the service for Life Member Duncan Beatson to be held at the Tony Clark Stadium at 1pm. In memory of Duncan, attendees are encouraged to wear something bright. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to RM Begg Aged Care or the Macedon CFA.
