The 7:30 Report-Wednesday 6th October.
Finally some serious sunshine to greet the 18 players for today's Social Stableford. Preferred lies remain necessary as last week's precipitation has meant the course remains soggy under foot. The greens continue to play truly but were two paced by comparison between the dew covered front nine and the much drier inward nine holes.
Today was meant to be the Macedon Ranges Family Law Mug o' the Month, however the 'no competition' edict has meant it will be played at a later date.
Thanks to Joggers for the retrieval of the bins and compiling the food orders, Bubba for organising the cards and Lids for the fire.
Thanks also to Billo for installing the 5 updated sponsor signs on the tees.
The Scoreboard:
Tony Littman (11) played better than his handicap returning 38 points.
Next best was Snags Sinclair (9) 34 points.
Joggers Andrew (12) 33 points
Luke Robinson (22) and Jarod Plowman (8) 31 points
Walrus Ward (10) and Graeme Bonsack (20) 30 points
Oils Flannery (19) and Misty Pickles (23) 29 points
Mike Hoiles (15) and Burra (11) 28 points
Ian Gill (15) and Brian Walsh (17) 27 points
Gary Liddy (19) and Henri Malakunas (25) 25 points
Bubba Watson (23) 21 points
Jeremy Clare (21) 20 points
which meant the Palmolive went to Tiger Penney (38).
Jarod Plowman snagged a birdie on the par 3 8th hole and Tony Littman had a one on the 7th.
Shot of the Day
Graeme Bonsack holed out his 4th shot on the course's hardest hole (13th) from around 100 metres netting him a 4 for 4 points and a bonus eclectic hole.
This Saturday was fixtured to be a shot gun start for the Simon Head memorial trophy, however this will now be a normal Saturday social round allowing the early and mid morning hit off times. Remember to go to the OneGolf site to book your tee time.
Next Wednesday we are expecting a social team event (assuming no prime numbers in attendance).
Our Sunday Birdies will be back on course from 2:30pm next Sunday for their second Get Into Golf @MMGC session.
