The 7:30 Report Wednesday 28th.

We were delighted to be able to access 'Our Hidden Treasure on the Mount' after a couple of weeks of no golf, however the BoM clearly hadn't passed on its weather predictions to the ranges. While we expected a short shower around 9am, the on again off again downpours, interrupted by sunshine, interrupted by high winds finally settling on a burst of hail was entirely unexpected. As I write this, yet another torrent is descending upon the ranges. The welcome warmth from Liddy's fire was very much welcomed at the end of our soggy stableford round along with the steamy pies and pasties.Judging by the scores, most of the 5 groups were somewhat rusty after a two week absence, not being helped by the sponge like conditions.Despite the inclement weather, Captain Payne was able to play to his 9 handicap and return 36 points.Controversy ensued for the runners up prize due to the fact that three players had not entered their scores. Yes gents, just like Saturday, you are required to enter your scores!!!!Get off the beers and get on the computer! The original runner up, Tony Littman, was forced to hand over his prize voucher when Luke Robinson's scores were finally entered resulting in a countback on 34 points apiece.Other scores:Ian Gill (14) and John Dawson (14) 29 pointsWalrus (10) 27 pointsGary Liddy (19) 26 pointsIan Flannery (16) and Jeremy Clare (20) 25 pointsGraeme Bonsack (19) 24 pointsPeter Sinclair (7) 23 pointsJoggers Andrew (12) and Tiger Penney (38) 21 pointsMatt Salter (19) 20 escaped the sink because of the embarrassing 17 points returned by Bubba 'The Big Banana' Watson (21)
