The 7:30 Report Wednesday 11th August.
Great to be back after a short compulsory sojourn. Disappointed for our Metro members who are locked out for another week.
Five groups of three this blustery morning and a guarantee from Hopalong Hoiles that he would not desert his playing partners this week.
Shot of the day....... well almost.... was a slam dunk ace on the 16th par 3 hole by Kevin Taylor, that landed in the hole and then jumped out! One would think there would be a birdie ball for the taking, except he two putted for a par! Better luck next time KT, ask Jezza Clare how to get a hole in one on that particular par three.
Winner with 34 stableford points was Ian 'Oils' Flannery (17) from John 'Back in Town and Riding my Luck' Andrews' (12) 33 points.
Shooter Dawson (14) 32 points
Walrus (10) and Kevin Taylor (19) 29 points
Ian Gill (14) 27 points
Mike Hoiles (15) and Snags Sinclair (7) 26 points
Pierre Watson (21) 25 points
Mike Gorman (20) and Graeme Bonsack (20) 24 points
Nifty Clark (22) and Tony Littman (11) 23 points
Jezza Clare (20) 21 points
Leaving the dishes for Gary Liddy (19) who returned 19 points.
Second shot NTPs
1/10th Peter Sinclair

Thanks to Gary Liddy for the fire and the food, Bonnie for retrieving the fire wood, Joggers for player registration and score input and Nifty the accountant.
This Saturday and next Wednesday are both Stableford events. Preferred tee times and groupings to Captain Richard.
Rain on the course this evening, so preferred lies are maintained.
