Winter announced itself with a blustery and chilly 4 degrees at 8am as the hardy 11 arrived to battle the course and the conditions for the Bendigo Community Bank June Mug o' the Month. We were surprised but delighted to welcome back Joggers Andrew from his early golfing retirement pledge. No surprise to see the list of 'softies' unable to face today's challenge-these gents need to have a GHLAT (Good hard look at themselves).

Interesting talking points of the round were Mike Hoiles ricochet shot bouncing off an unsuspecting macropod onto the 6th green, a sneaky practise round yesterday by LO'G and a session of practise putting by Jezza that resulted in no improvement at all as indicated by their scores.

Winner: Peter 'Snags' Sinclair (7) 32 points c/b from Mike Hoiles (13).

Leaving the dishes to a countback between Jezza (18) and the Tiger (39) both on 25 points. Jezza pipping the Tiger by virtue of 16 points on the inward nine compared to Terry's 15.

This Saturday we return to the white tees and a stableford competition.
