An excellent turnout for the 4 person Gold Plate stableford. 36 players filled the course in the morning and a further dozen in the afternoon. Tough pin positions made it difficult for players to confidently attack the flag and this was evident in the scores returned. Of the three dozen players in the morning, just 4 played to their handicap or bettered it. Congratulations to Tony Carter, Tony Littman and Keith Miles for their individual scores of 38, Tony winning on countback.

The team of Tony Carter, Jeremy Clare, Ryan Toholka and Brian Collins were the winners of the 2019 Gold Plate. After tying on 103 with Trevor Atkins, Hayden Phillips, John Dawson and Marcus Ward, a countback went to the fourth card where Brian Collins pipped John Dawson by a single point!

Thanks were extended to Raelene for the preparation of the delicious lunch and to Matt Willis for covering the bar in Jo's absence.
Also much appreciated is the work by Graham Bysouth on the fairways, Nathan Fairley on the greens and Jeremy Clare raking all tees of sticks and debris to have the course in its best possible state for both yesterday's event, next Saturday's Guests' and Sponsors' Day and the Christmas Hamper event of the 14th December.

A reminder that Captain, Richard Payne, must have definite numbers for both the 10am shotgun start and for the lunch following play, by this coming Wednesday.
