Happy new year to our Facebook members and friends. Let's hope that the worst of 2020 has been left behind and we can look forward to a return to some form of pre-covid normality.
Firstly thanks to Gary Liddy, John Dawson and Jeremy Clare who have stepped in to cover my absences and organise the competition and tend the bar for the Wednesday gentlemen.
Despite returning to almost wintry weather over the past week, we had an attendance of 15 hardy mountain men for the first event of the year, the Gisborne Peak Winery's January Mug o' the Month.
Results:
Winner with 40 stableford points was John Dawson (19) from runner up Ian Flannery (21) 39 points.
Gary Liddy (22) and Pierre Watson (27) 36 points and a ball for achieving handicap or better.

Members would have received an email from club Captain Richard Payne regarding booking pairs with him for the John Lowe 4BBB stableford event on the 16th January. This will be a shotgun start.
