Good to be welcomed back by my Wednesday posse. Thanks to Gary Liddy for covering the comp in my absence. 15 players divided into 5 groups for today's stableford. Pins remained in their positions from Saturday's first round of the club championships therefore making it a tad tougher although it was a delightfully still autumnal day.
Just three players were ball competition recipients by equaling or bettering their handicaps: Joggers Andrews was the overall winner with 37 points, the Walrus pipped the Lithuanian Lothario on countback with his 19 points on the back nine, as they both returned 36 stableford points for the round.
Next best were Nifty and Gregg K-35 pts, Keith Miles-34 pts, Peter Watson 33 and the rest need not be spoken about.
Tuppence was again 'dishes monitor' after a dismal 21 pts as a result of no practise round last Sunday due to Mothers' Day commitments of his son Steve.
Graham Bonsack continues to struggle with the greens exemplified by his 4 putt on the 8th and a return of 27 points.
Jeremy Clare snagged the NTP on the 7th/16th.
Next week's Par round will be moved to Tuesday 21st to accommodate those attending the funeral service for Life Member Duncan Beatson. No details yet of times and location for the service.
