Excellent numbers again today with 17 on course for the Wednesday Gentlemen's stableford. Weather was delightfully cool, with just a zephyr of a breeze. Good numbers means two grades; eight players in each grade; A grade 9-20.5 and B grade 21-36. Some sphincters tightened when it was announced that two grades meant two winners and two for the dishes!
Mike Hoiles lazy 12 pars and 46 points beat home the Walrus' 39 on countback from Giddy, while 38 points saw Gregg Kennedy again in the winner's circle for B grade.
Apologies to Nifty Clark who was in then out of A grade before he could blink. You'll always be an A grader to me Nev. The sojourn at the sink was made by Doc Golden (32 points) and Terry-ble Penney (27 points) although TP pulled his 'Get out of the dishes Free card' and Ian Flannery (29 points) was obliged to step into the breach.
NTP 2nd/11th Ian Gill.
Ball comp: M. Hoiles, P. Watson, G. Liddy, G. Kennedy, I. Gill, G. Bonsack, H. Malakunas and M. Ward.
