Last Wednesday of the month means it is a team's event and while many arrived in darkness to register, the day broke cool but calm and evolved into a gloriously sunny winter's day. With several players missing eg young Alex Ryan needed a sleep in and Oils Flannery was doing some 'red light electrical work' in St Kilda, we were just shy of a dozen. Unfortunately 11 being a prime number meant our planned Foursomes competition was replaced by a 2 person ambrose of four pairs plus a team of three.

Winners were the three ball of Paper plates Hoiles, Pierre Watson and Nifty-64 and 1/3, runners up Pickled Walrus-65 and 1/2, Tuppence and Gary Baker-68 and 3/4, Graham Bonsack and Lidds-70 and 3/4 leaving the dishes to Jezza Clare and Aitch-72 and 3/4.

Except Henri received an 'unexpected' but convenient summons to appear at home immediately leaving Jezza all alone at the sink.

Congrats to Peter Sinclair and Trevor Atkins who snuck past Jungle and Phil on the last hole to win their semi final of the pairs matchplay and now will do battle with Paper Plates and his brother Steve Barrow.
