Christmas Hamper — Stableford

The 7:30 report-Wednesday 15th December.

A field of 23 vying for the Christmas Hamper stableford event, in cool but still conditions. Congratulations to Shooter, Oils, Bubba and Walrus who continue to prepare the course to its magnificent best. The state of the course is clearly reflected in the quality of the scores presented today.

Today was also an opportunity to celebrate the year just passing with a delicious bbq. For those who requested the bbq chicken recipe, see the end of this report.

Winners:
A grade(0-17) Richard Payne (7) 39 points from runner-up Ian Flannery (16) 38 points on countback from Tony Carter (14).
B grade (18+) Graham Bysouth (24) 39 points on countback from Robe Devereux (19).

This Saturday is the Ranges Medical Monthly Medal, while next Wednesday will be a team event decided on the morning.

Recipe:
Chicken thighs or fillets marinated overnight in an equal mixture of soy sauce and sweet soy (kecap manus). Place the marinated chicken in a freezer bag with 3 dessert spoons of flour, 1 dessert spoon of curry, a dessert spoon of paprika and a dessert spoon of tumeric powder ( add a pinch of chili powder if hot and spicy is your preference).
Heat the bbq plate, healthy splash of oil.
Add the chicken ensuring they are coated with the heated oil.
BBQ until cooked through.
