The 7:30 Report-Wednesday 28th July
A field of 11 players contested today's stableford event in calm conditions, albeit on a heavy track. Several players were conspicuous by their absence. Due to legal reasons these 'softies' cannot be named and appropriately ridiculed.
With the reduced numbers just one grade winner on the day was Lachlan O’Gorman (19) with 38 points - the alarm clock being the key to LOG’s game after a no-show last week.
Runner up was the evergreen Snags Sinclair (8) with 36 points. Having achieved his aim and drifted his handicap out to eight, he is back on the winner's list albeit as a runner up.
Other scores:
Tony Carter (15) 35 points
Peter Semmens (23) 33 points on cb from Burra (9)
John Dawson (13) 31 points
Tim Dawe (19) 29 points
Steve Barrow (9) 28 points on cb from Mike Hoiles (13)
Gazza Liddy (20) 26 points
Which left kitchen duties for Brad Straughair (14) 25 points
NTP went to Burra (A grade) and no winner in B grade.
Graded birdie ball voucher to LO'G (11th).
Other birdies were recorded by Sinclair (17th), Straughair (2nd), Burra (8th).
Forthcoming events - Sat is the Jumbuck Sheepskin and Leather July Monthly Medal (stroke) and Wed is the Calderlink Industries Aug Mug o’ the Month (stableford).
