Par

The 7:30 report-Wednesday 14th 18 members was a slightly smaller field than usual this morning, was it the gloomy clouds or the fact it was a Par competition, that frightened off a few regulars.

A little piece of poetry:

Tiger only plays when it's bisque

If it's par, he gives it a miss.

Despite it being a par round, the best scores were more indicative of a bisque competition.

Winners:

A grade (handicap 7-17) Ian Flannery +5 (I'm told he was on a roll with six pluses in a row)

B grade (18+) Hubba Bubba Watson (23) with his revised Walrus inspired swing +6

Runners up:

PJ Cushen (17) +3

Henri Malakunas (26) +5

Other scores:

Nifty Clark (21) +1

Gary Liddy (20), Shooter Dawson (15), Karl Pongracic (29) and Isaac Golden (17) -1

Mike Gorman (20), Joggers Andrew (12) and Mike Hoiles (14) -2

Snags Sinclair (7) -3

Jezza Clare (21) -4

Ian Gill (13) -5

Walrus (10) -6

Graham Bonsack (20) and Kevin Taylor (21) -7, Bonnie snagging the dishes on countback.

NTPs 2nd shot 1st/10th Walrus, 7th/16th Bubba

Birdie holes: Walrus 1st, Oils 7th, Mike G 8th, PJ 9th, Snags, Joggers and PJ 17th (Sorry Mike H, no birdie ball for you as the 18th is a Saturday A grade birdie hole)

Ball comp for achieving handicap or better: Bubba, Nifty, Oils, Aitch and PJ

Next Wednesday is stableford and this Saturday is an individual and pairs multiple stableford event. Modified score cards will be prepared for members' use. A sample score card will be on display.

WARNING: COVID SIDE-EFFECTS

I had my Astra-Zeneca jab on Monday. My resulting shit par score of -6 was clearly a side effect of the inoculation.
